The words in the Extended Ayres List are organized based on difficulty with spelling. The farther a student advances in this list, the more difficult the words become. The first lists found in this starter kit, Section A-G and Section H, are designed to lay a solid foundation and analysis practice with very common words like 'me' or 'go', 'she' or 'man'. There are approximately 160 words that students learn. The Grade Level Equivalency for these first word lists take them to 2nd Grade, 2nd month. Section H is the magic list.
