This notebook, designed for students' initial experiences, is the training wheels for the Spelling Notebook. Housed in a three-ring binder, it contains the materials and printed instruction for building a spelling notebook from the very beginning. Sheet protectors are provided for those first attempts at notebook pages using single sheets of penmanship paper. This makes it far easier for students to re-do those less than "perfect" results than can be done with the composition notebooks they will eventually use. These becomes a very forgiving way to practice becoming more proficient with the details of our language and provide a tangible record of students' progress through those first years.
