Noeo Chemistry 2 takes your kid on a voyage deep into the world of chemistry. We’ve packed your Noeo box with books, lesson plans, and experiments, all ready to go from day 1.
Chemistry 2 builds a launch pad in the basics of the periodic table, then rockets off into everything from metalloids to halogens to acids and bases. By the end, your kid will have a comprehensive overview of the chemical world.
Experiment kits and built-in lesson plans mean you can start exploring molecules and creating complex chemical reactions as soon as you open the box. Skip the Ready, Set, move straight to the Go!
Chemistry isn’t just about lists of elements—it’s about carbonation and pencil lead and chromatography and John Dalton. We’ve selected every book in Chemistry 2 to make the world come alive.
Every week your kids will get their hands dirty in the real world by growing instant ice, sparking carbon sugar snakes, bending memory wire, and more. And with easy-to-read experiment guides, your kids can do detailed experiments on their own—while you knock out some spring cleaning.
Have multiple kids who want to explore chemical reactions by making elephant toothpaste and setting steel wool on fire? Perfect! Chemistry 2 is designed so kids across multiple grades can share books, experiments, and lab manuals, or have their own.
Unexpected visit from friends shake up your school week? No problem! With options for both a four-day and two-day per week schedule, Chemistry 2 enables you to adapt your curriculum to your calendar.
Covenantal Catechism helps parents raise children who need more Scriptural understanding of the Gospels so they can make a clear and complete biblical confession of faith and live it out. Book 5 is for beginners or ages 9-11 and surveys the book of the Acts of the Apostles. It contains lessons, reviews, memory work and songs, and Bible reading assignments. The Teacher's Handbook contains instructions for effective teaching of Book 5: Acts and an answer key.
This package includes:
After Jesus had led and taught the disciples three years, He posed this question to them, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Embedded in that short exchange is the essence of catechism and the essence of the covenant. Covenant is God revealing Himself and his people responding. This catechism curriculum then is built on that premise.
Since God’s revelation of Himself is one of the words He expects His people to respond first of all with words. It is upon that "God speaking, people answering" dynamic that this covenantal catechism program is based.
The first part of a covenantal catechism program then will consist of teaching our children what God has said and is saying to them in His Word, the Bible. The series of books you see on this site is dedicated to assisting in filling that purpose—to reveal through the Bible the Word and works of our God. We may call this first part Scripture Catechism.
The second part of a covenantal catechism program will teach our children how they should answer our God; what confession of faith they should make. This normally takes form by teaching them the confessions of the church to which they belong. Although Line of Promise Press does not yet publish confessional catechetical material, much is available. You will find a page listing material available on this site. We call this second part Confessional Catechism.
These books are Scripture Catechism, and express a standpoint that is both Reformed and covenantal.
The books teach from a perspective reflecting the great Reformation confessions — the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, the Canons of Dort, and the Westminster Confession and Catechisms. They belong to the heritage commonly known as “Reformed” to distinguish it from the Lutheran and Anabaptist streams of the Reformation.
Our Scripture catechism books clearly follow the great Reformation themes of Scripture Alone, By Faith Alone, Through Grace Alone, By Christ Alone, and To God Alone Be the Glory.
John Owen commends catechism teaching by saying, "More knowledge is ordinarily diffused, especially among the young and ignorant, by one hour’s catechetical exercise, than by many hours continual discourse." You will find that all the great Reformers and church leaders of the 16th and 17th centuries—Calvin, Luther, Knox—called catechetical instruction essential.
Math Mammoth materials are very versatile and accommodate the needs of both parents and teachers. Whether you need a complete math curriculum, review materials, or something for filling in gaps, we have something for you!
This package includes:
GRADE 5 COVERS:
Math Mammoth is one of Cathy Duffy's Top Picks for homeschool curriculum. Cathy says, "Math Mammoth is an amazingly well-developed program for such a reasonable price." We couldn't agree more!
"What I like most is that it focuses on number sense, mental math and learning that there is often more than one way to approach a math problem. The table of contents and layout makes it very easy to skip around or find what topics that you want to teach. There are plenty of problems and while we only do about 1/3 of them until mastery is demonstrated, you could easily spiral back for review or do more problems when it was a difficult concept.." The Grammar of Spelling: Grade 5
Don't just memorize spelling lists. Learn how to spell.
Many spelling programs overwhelm kids with a lot of spelling rules, which only pile up as the year goes on. This program, developed by veteran Logos teacher Matt Whitling, teaches and reviews five basic spelling rules, as well as more difficult spelling words called stumpers. The lists are cumulative, which allows students to review words throughout the year, and each lesson features dictation sentences that allow even more practice.
Each lesson has the students write the list four times. Students repeat the words, put the words in alphabetical order, write the words from memory, and write them in cursive.
This edition of Grammar of Spelling has the following all-new features:
- brand-new formatting
- lesson instructions for the teacher, with tips on how to teach the rule or sound pattern
- 2 dictation sentences for every lesson
- 5 extra words taken from the Logos Press homeschool bundle curriculum
- point assignments for every dictation sentence and for all the tests
The fifth grade Spelling level includes 49 lists. They cover the five spelling rules, prefixes & suffixes, geography words, and history words.
The Grammar of Poetry
Poetry is about much more than just coming up with rhymes at a moment's notice: poetry is a study of the craft of language.
Trial and Triumph
Introduce your children to their heroes in the Christian faith with this excellent Canon best-seller.
Christianity is a faith in love with history. God took on human flesh and dwelt among us. The Spirit carried that divine work over the centuries, providing courage and maturity even amid our imperfections. Christians find their true family line not through tribes and ethnic blood but in the bond of faithfulness and shed blood that has united our family for millennia. We too often view Church history as the story of obscure aliens instead of the lives of brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers.
In this collection of forty-six brief biographies for children, Hannula sketches the stirring trials and triumphs of many famous and some lesser known figures in our family of faith—including Augustine, Charlemagne, Anselm, Luther, Bunyan, and C.S. Lewis. Through them we can begin to enjoy the old paths and find rest for our souls. "Thus says the LORD: Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls"(Jer. 6:16).
Ancient History Facts
Reinforce your student's memory of historical facts about Egypt, Sumer, Assyria, Babylon, Israel, Rome, and Greece.
David Kohl has compiled ten facts for each civilization and explains how he uses them in his 5th grade class at Logos School. This sound-off method really works well in a class of several students. Young students love to recite and memorize!
Country History Facts
Equip your students to easily memorize five facts about each of 25 countries.
Each student is given this entire book, but only memorizes a few countries themselves. After some time, however, students begin memorizing all of the facts as well. This sound-off method of learning facts is fun and challenging at the same time—a proven technique students love.
State Facts
An excellent method to memorize state facts at home or in the classroom. Program contains 5 facts for each state.
